I am blown away by the level of scientific respect and insight in the "theological" work of Leonardo Boff in "Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor". Looking like I'm going to have to part with some money and buy the Kindle version. Boff is a great antidote to the notion that theology is inherently hostile to or ignorant of science. He, most certainly, is not.
