This is scary,  only because I have an indication of the kind of “active part” these types want to play in “America’s political future”.  Lost on these people seems to be the rather inappropriate use of militaristic imagery;  but we all know how undisturbed they are by this,  since it does not occur to them that Jesus totally eschewed military solutions;  that there is a difference between the values of the Kingdom and those of the world,  and it is ironic that these groups place themselves all the more under its power by parading the banner of Jesus over it.;  a Jesus bearing no resemblance to the Jesus of the gospels.
