I have been typing so badly lately; I need a spell checker for my blogging. I use either IE6+ or Firefox 1.0 (trying to use Firefox and Sage more and more….I like Firefox/Sage’s RSS reader.) But my blog entries are getting mistyped a lot; and I am embarassed when my references to blogs that have trackback show my mispellings, so that I cannot say Whoops, and correct it. Any suggestions? MOst hits on spell checkers are for browsers; any easy to install MT plugins?

you might try the Speling plugin.
OK, so I downloaded the file (a file I named MTSpeling.pl) AND uploaded it to my /myMTdir/plugins directory. I then put this in my /lib/MT/App/CMS.pm file the following in the under the
my $preview_code =
section
NOthing different happens
what do I do with:
# Set this to the path to your installation of ispell
# (usually /usr/local/bin/ispell or /usr/bin/ispell)
$Lingua::Ispell::path = ‘/usr/local/bin/ispell’;
or, how do I check to see, on a hosted environment, where ispell is?
i didn”™t realize it used ispell. i think you are using windows-based hosting; ispell is primarily a unix program. i really doubt there are any windows-based hosting providers with ispell installed.
maybe Zempt is what you want, or you might ask Phillip Winn about the spell-check he cooked up for his W6 “™blog.
