On Nov. 1, 2016, the year that culminates in the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation will begin. So , that 500th year will bring many reflections and explorations and research from me at EcoEcclesia on the Eco-Reformation we need to expand, explore, and set as a vital mission of the Church for the years ahead. It’s “vital” to any “Vital Congregations” program, or visions for what the church should look like in these times of eco-crisis. More on this upcoming. I am presently pulled in many directions by life, but this is one key component of my life and ministry moving forward. There is so much more at stake in whether or not this Reformation takes place than there was on the Protestant Reformation. The Protestant Reformation certainly changed the face of theology, but this one, the Eco-Reformation that we need, will literally save our lives, and all that sustains our lives.
